Here we come Halloween!!!

Well another busy fly by week here. I am getting to the point where I barely can remember what went on yesterday, let alone Monday! Last weekend the boys and I visited a local pumpkin patch last Saturday while it was nice. It was just the right size of place, and we got some cute decorations for the apartment. Sunday was spent at our friends son's baptism... it was nice to see everyone again! This week I started working out again finally. The hospital has a nice workout room and they offer circuit, so I joined up. A lil sore to start but am looking forward to staying in shape again. Our students had their first vocal concert Tues. They are tremendous and we have a ton of kids in choir, which is great. Wed. our girls played first round vb tourney and lost unfortunately. Thursday was our spirit club's fundraiser auction. $230 dollars later I came home with a Nighthawk sweatshirt purse, fall decoration, and 4 packages of ribeye steaks. I am not good at an auction, let me tell you...that was an experience for me! Friday the Nighthawk fb team won the district by beating Sioux Center. We will hopefully host all 3 playoff games and get to head to the dome this year!!!!! It is so fun and exciting! I can't wait to see what bb season brings soon! Next week is P-T conferences, so I'm preparing for another busy week. Still loving the job and loving life. The boys have picked out their costumes for next week as you can see...too funny...Kelly has picked his out too. HAHAHAHA!!!!! Enjoy your week...keep in touch.

Busy Baby Weekend!

Well, this weekend was full of babies! My good friend Paula
was blessed with a baby boy, Carson Gabriel, on Friday night...
big 9 pounder! Then our friends Noah and Susan also had a baby boy,
Ashton Cade at midnight Friday also, they are also doing great!
We spent the day today with our other good friends Adam and Jen
Douma at their son, Caden's baptism in Sanborn...babies everywhere!!!!

School is good. The quarter ends tomorrow....only three more to go!
Things are finally starting to slow down and settle in.
We have at least 4 cases of confirmed H1N1 at our school.
On Friday we had 50 kids gone from grades 6-12.
We are hoping this week gets better! I was down with the cold last Monday
and Alic had little bit of a fever too, but we are on the mend.

We were lucky enough to head to Stuart Thursday night and
surprise the coaches and vb girls at their last home game of
the season. It was great to see everyone and was a long night,
but well worth the trip.

My house is still on the market in Stuart, and from what
looks like in the dark is in good shape! HA!! Hopefully it
will sell before it gets too cold....keep praying for it to happen!

Hope you all have a good week...we start vb tourneys
here this week and finish the regular fball season up this Friday
and wish our teams the best of luck!!

My First Blog

Well I felt Paula has inspired me to blog. I feel so many of you I don't keep in touch with enough as I just don't have enough time in the day, so maybe if I can keep this updated then I won't feel as guilty! :) School has been going well! We are one week away from the end of the first quarter and just finished my first homecoming last week. From what I can tell the kids had a great time. And then we won our game against undefeated/ranked Western Christian! That solidified our win of the district and we remain undefeated this season also. What a ride this has been and is going to be!! Eric loves school and his teacher, and has made new friends without any troubles...Alic is loving daycare, and kids to play with. They will both have birthdays soon, and can't wait to turn a year older. Kelly and I are doing great! He has sold his place in Sanborn and moved in with the elementary principal's house here in town. He bought a new semi truck and drives now for a guy in Sioux Center, ten minutes from here. He loves it and makes good money! HA!! Don't worry...we are no closer to you know what! Basically we are very happy, but miss old friends. We want to try and get down to visit soon. The house hasn't sold yet, but there are prospects, so keep your fingers crossed and keep praying for it to sell please!! Thanks for reading, I'll try and keep it updated regularly!!!
